“Tue Tue”

I just love this piece. It’s very exuberant and happy, and
has a very strong beat. It’s suitable for improvisation
with rhythm instruments and with movement.
I created my own simple dance to “Tue Tue” which
I use with fours and fives, based on motions I learned
on YouTube tutorials on West African dance. Oddly
enough, many of these motions seem like the kind
of movements children naturally make when
dancing on their own – shaking hands, stomping feet
and so on.
Whether you use West African dance movements
or just let your class improvise, you’ll find it will
soon be a favorite. Very fun and happy music to dance
to!
