To live a creative life, we must lose
our fear of being wrong.
–Joseph Chilton Pearce
I’m continually amazed at the creativity of the young children I teach, but I shouldn’t be. Children have one of the prime prerequisites for creativity – they’re not worried about being wrong, or not good enough, or failing. Whether it’s singing, or dancing, or playing instruments, or creating music of their own, they just do it for the joy of doing it – of trying new things, of learning, of expressing themselves.
