Creative kids are often daydreamers…
What’s going on in a dreamer’s head is likely
to be original ideation, visualization,
imaginative thought, and creative problem
solving. Daydreaming is a good thing.
Marjorie Sarnat
As a lifelong daydreamer, I love this quotation. In
school children are encouraged to always be “on the
same page” as everyone else, but we’re not all made
like that. (Maybe nobody is.) There has to be some
flexibility in the way we teach young children to
give them room to travel on their own trains of
thought.
